About Us

Family Medical Specialties is a professional medical corporation originally established in Holdrege, Nebraska in 1926. The Family Medical Specialties medical staff includes seven physicians, one certified physician assistant, three RNs, ten LPNs, three medical technicians, two radiology technicians and a variety of laboratory and support staff.

Service area

Our primary service area includes all of Phelps County as well as Buffalo, Kearney, Harlan, Gosper and Furnas Counties, although we see patients from throughout southwest and south central Nebraska and northern Kansas.

Facility

Our modern offices include a certified and accredited laboratory, diagnostics lab and allergy center, as well as ultrasound, digital x-ray and bone density testing. The beautiful facility, opened in 2008, is designed around five central nursing stations, each serving six exam rooms. Two dedicated minor procedures rooms are also available. Specialized services such as physical therapy are also available within our building.
